Recognizing the importance of fostering unity with the mind and heart of Jesus Christ, our Family of Parishes Pastoral Council, commissioned by the Bishop to develop a Pastoral Plan utilized two main documents to assist our discernment. The first is the Pastoral Plan of the Diocese of London, since the Bishop is the principle of unity within the Diocese. The second document we utilized was Pastores Dabo Vobis, its usage of the 4 pillars of formation, and the recognition that the laity are also called to be formed as disciples of Jesus. Through discussion, prayer, and listening, the Family of Parishes Pastoral Council developed the following document which was submitted to the judgment of the Bishop of the Diocese. All six goals of the Bishop are integrated into the vision and plan of our Family of Parishes. The way these goals are integrated into the Pastoral Plan is categorized under the 4 Pillars of Formation: Human, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Apostolic.
